Frequently Asked Questions
When does BCH plan to reopen?
We plan to offer in-person worship services at 3052 Homedale Rd. on June 7, 2020, at 8:30 am & 11:00 am. All Wednesday night groups, including children, LOGOS youth, and Pastor Paul’s class will meet beginning June 3, 2020. All small groups under 25 persons are approved for meeting under the direction of their leader(s) in compliance with the May 15 Phase 1 reopening order for Klamath County.
What precautions is BCH taking to reopen?
We have a thorough sanitization team that will be preparing the building for reopening. During Sunday worship services and Wednesday meetings, we will be sanitizing high traffic surfaces each hour in classrooms, the auditorium, kitchen, bathrooms, and more. As always, there are many sanitization stations distributed throughout the campus.
We are encouraging our greeters and congregation to refrain from shaking hands during our services out of respect for the health and safety of our church family. No bulletins/programs will be distributed. Additionally, all of our staff members have been tested for COVID through the SkyLakes testing site.
How will BCH be observing social distancing requirements?
By June 7, 2020, BCH fully expects Klamath County Phase 2 reopening guidelines to be in effect, which allows in-person local gatherings of up to 100 persons while observing physical distancing requirements. We will arrange seating in the auditorium, foyer, and kitchen areas that comply with the requirements so that families can sit safely together.
Am I required to wear a mask?
Generally, we are not asking that any of our event attendees wear masks. If you are serving on one of the following teams, we ask that you wear a mask: children’s team, safety team, coffee/hospitality teams, greeting, check-in team.
What about kids’ church/Little Believers?
Children who wish to participate in children’s programming can check in with an attendant at the kids’ kiosk in the Children’s Wing. Provide the attendant with your phone number and they will print out your security stickers.
All children entering the Children’s Wing will have their temperature taken with a non-contact, infrared thermometer. A child with a temperature of 100° F or greater will be asked to rest for five minutes and rescan. If the temperature persists, the participant’s family will be notified and asked to take the child home. Once they have arrived in class, all children will be asked to wash and/or sanitize their hands at the beginning and end of each class time.
For your child’s safety, all Children’s Ministry staff members and volunteers will wear masks, and will thoroughly sanitize all surfaces at the end of each class period. It is important to us to make sure our Children’s Wing is a safe, healthy environment for your child to learn and have fun.
Will there be online services?
Yes! We will be live-streaming music and the message.
