Answering the Tough Questions Small Group Launch
Answering the Tough Questions is focused on just that: Answering the Tough Questions. No one likes to be asked a question they are not ready to answer and most discussions in the "Christian" community don't provide answers to today's topics. This study will provide Biblical answers to some of the most asked questions. We will discuss in an open forum and take our time to work through the biblical answers for comprehension not just for rote memorization! For example:1. Why does God allow evil to exist, or more commonly asked, "Why does God allow bad things to happen to good people?"2. Biblically, is abortion ever appropriate? If not, why? If so, when?3. What is the purpose of science and when does science turn into science fiction?4. Can you believe in evolution and the biblical version of creation?5. Does the Bible address social justice, slavery, gender, roles between husbands and wives, diversity?6. Election vs. free will: Can they co-exist?7. Did God create evil? If not, then where did it come from? If so, how can a loving God create evil?8. Does God approve of secular education?9. What is worldview? What is yours and does it align with God's?10. Does Romans 13 prohibit Christians from protesting? If so, why?...and many more!We look forward to hosting men and women of all ages as we learn to "...make a defense to everyone who asks..." (1 Peter 3:15).No fluff, no guff....just God's Word. We will be holding this in person as well as interactively online through ZOOM. 1. Copy and paste: zoom.us/signup2. Elijah Small Group Launch
Every serious believer longs to summon up the kind of boldness and faith that can stand firm on Mount Carmel and pray down heaven into impossible situations. Yet few are willing to go through the process required to get them there. Strength of faith, character, and boldness can only be shaped in the hidden fires of silence, sameness, solitude, and adversity. Those who patiently wait on God in the darkness emerge with their holy loyalty cemented, their courage emblazoned, and their confident belief in Him set afire.bch.churchcenter.com/groups/small-groups-classes/women-of-the-word-elijah
